You’ll work alongside and report into our Head of Trading Legal and have the opportunity to work on a myriad of legal issues with room for growth beyond the current scope of the role. The ideal hire should have minimum of 4 years’ experience at a financial institution with additional experience at a top-tier law firm.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: left;"><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <ul style="text-align: left;"> <li>Act as a strategic legal advisor for Galaxy with respect to ISDAs/ CSAs, confirms, prime brokerage agreements, lending and vendor transactions;</li> <li>Advisor on swap dealer related rules</li> <li>Focus on negotiating documentation with hedge funds, crypto native firms, investment companies, individuals, miners and other institutional clients</li> <li>Coordinate resources with respect to negotiations, including management of outside counsel engagement where appropriate;</li> <li>Collaborate with other functional partners and businesses to ensure appropriate awareness and escalation of issues;</li> <li>Assisting with implementing global regulatory and market changes affecting trading and documentation</li> <li>Draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements;</li> <li>Manage workflow in a highly dynamic and demanding environment while remaining highly responsive, reliable, communicative, and accountable to team leadership and other members of Galaxy; and</li> <li>Help with other special projects and such other activities as may be assigned.</li> <li>Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.</li> <li>Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: left;"><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul style="text-align: left;"> <li>The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrable ability to produce quality work product in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;</li> <li>Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts within the crypto space to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and uncommon</li> <li>Over 6+ years of transactional experience reviewing various financial transaction agreements, primarily ISDA/CSAs, trade confirmations and prime brokerage agreements</li> <li>Product knowledge and transactional or regulatory experience within the OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses.</li> <li>Experience traditional financial markets, preferable experience at a sell side bank supporting derivative desks</li> <li>Ability to work well in fast-paced business and evolving legal environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously;</li> <li>Highly motivated, self-starter who takes initiative;</li> <li>Positive attitude, and willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small);</li> <li>Ability to think creatively and propose commercially pragmatic solutions;</li> <li>Collaborative team member with a high level of professionalism and business judgment;</li> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills;
