About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Tool and die blueprint reading
- Mechanical knowledge
- Fabrication/welding
- Familiar with Injection Molding
- Manufacturing repair
- Tooling repair
- Precision measuring instrument
- Repairing molds
- Operating grinding and milling machines
- Tear down, clean, assemble after fix, clean, polish
- Grind, mill & lathe
- Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances
- Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts
- Measuring and marking metal stock for machining
- Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Filing, grinding, shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish
- Fitting and assembling tools and mold parts
- Inspecting finished dies and molds for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities
- All other duties/tasks as assigned
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- General Machine Knowledge
- AutoCad or Solidworks Experience
- Majority of time is spent standing and repetitive use of both hands
- Working in a factory environment - heat, dust, etc.
