About the role
What your responsibilities will include:
- Operate a forklift safely throughout the shift
- Ability to move and manage freight efficiently and effectively, avoiding damages
- Load and unload freight onto and off of trailers
- Ability to load trailers in a manner to maximize space
- Possess basic knowledge of trailer weight capacities
- Conduct forklift safety checks daily
- Operate forklift in a shared space with other Dockworkers and warehouse staff
- Using basic Microsoft Office and other programs for various tasks
What we require from you:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years Operating Forklift
- Minimum 2 year of Warehouse Experience
- Intermediate Computer Skills
- Cross Dock experience is an asset
- Truck Mate experience is an asset
- Forklift License/certificate required
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
