<p><strong>Join Our AoPS Academy as a Part-Time Math Instructor!</strong></p>

<p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Teach Engaging Curriculum</strong>: Use company-created curriculum and materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in math.</li>
<li><strong>Engage Students: </strong>Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning. </li>
<li><strong>Classroom Management: </strong>Expertly manage up to 16 students. </li>
<li><strong>Grade & Provide Feedback: </strong>Provide feedback on tests.</li>
<li><strong>Build Relationships: </strong>Connect with students and families to make a lasting impact on their educational journey.</li>
<li><strong>Inspire Learning: </strong>Encourage a love for learning and critical thinking in math.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Skills and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor’s degree is required. </li>
<li>A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred. </li>
<li>Strong content knowledge in math. </li>
<li>Experience teaching or tutoring students. </li>
<li>Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Not Required: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A formal teaching credential is <strong>not required</strong> for this position. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Schedule</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li>AoPS Academy is an afterschool program with classes in the evenings and on weekends. Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.</li>
<li>This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class. </li>
<li>Each course meets once per week for 1 hour 45 minutes.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Our team is currently seeking candidates to fill the following classes for <a href="https://aopsacademy.org/courses/course/math-level-3">Honors Math 3</a></strong><strong>:</strong></p>
<p>Students are introduced to fractions, expanding their understanding of numbers. They develop fluency with multiplication and division and explore two-dimensional shapes, estimation, and the use of variables. Regular word problems teach students how to translate between writing and mathematical symbols, and puzzles help students practice strategic thinking.</p>

<p><strong>Campus Location:</strong></p>
<p>This is an in-person position at our <a href="https://aopsacademy.org/campus/lexington">Lexington Campus</a> (1088 Lexington St. Waltham, MA. 02451). <br>Candidates must be located in Lexington/Waltham, MA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.</p>
