<p><strong>Fameccanica North America</strong> is launching a new Robotics & Automation Engineering Hub just north of Boston, and we’re looking for a <strong>Mechanical Design Project Leader</strong> to help build it.<br><br>This is a rare chance to join a small, high-impact team at the ground level. You’ll help shape project execution, system design, and team operations—while benefiting from the support of a global organization with proven technology, established customers, and existing production infrastructure.<br><br>If you’re energized by ownership, meaningful engineering work, and seeing your designs move from concept to reality, this role is worth a conversation.</p>
<p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead mechanical design for robotics and automation projects</li>
<li>Coordinate engineering work across mechanical, electrical, and software teams</li>
<li>Manage projects from concept and design through build, testing, and delivery</li>
<li>Support assembly and testing by troubleshooting design issues in real time</li>
<li>Help develop project plans, schedules, and technical proposals</li>
<li>Mentor junior engineers and support team growth</li>
<li>Join client discussions, design reviews, and key project milestones</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5-10 years of mechanical design experience in automation, robotics, or machinery</li>
<li>Experience leading or coordinating technical projects</li>
<li>Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or similar)</li>
<li>Ability to balance hands-on design work with project leadership</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and comfort in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Clear communication across teams, functions, and, at times, with clients</li>
</ul>
