Tasks
As a **Mechanical Engineer Intern**, you will work closely with our engineering team on the **design, development, and testing of mechanical systems** for missiles and rocket components. You will be involved across the full development cycle: from CAD design to hands-on testing in laboratory and field environments.
- Design and build mechanical test rigs, including CAD modelling, component selection, and assembly
- Support the setup, commissioning, and execution of laboratory and field tests
- Contribute to the mechanical and structural design of missile and rocket components
- Perform experiments, measurements, and functional tests on real hardware
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers from mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering
Requirements
- Advanced student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Solid experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with mechanical prototypes or test setups (university projects, student teams, internships, maker projects, etc.)
- Strong interest in aerospace, defence technologies, and complex mechanical systems
- Structured, independent working style with a strong hands-on mindset
- Citizenship of an EU or NATO member state (excluding the United States)
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
