About the role
Eram Talent is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer - Central Maintenance - Shop to join their team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair activities within the central maintenance workshop, ensuring operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical maintenance activities within the central maintenance workshop.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, implement appropriate maintenance procedures, and oversee repairs of equipment and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment history.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to schedule maintenance activities minimizing downtime.
- Perform maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, etc.)
- Lead and support workshop operations, including mechanical repairs, overhauling, and refurbishment activities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance within petrochemical plant facilities
- Participate in plant shutdowns and turnaround activities, ensuring timely and safe completion of tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and quality requirements in all maintenance operations
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for maintenance processes and equipment performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in petrochemical or refinery maintenance environments
- Strong hands-on experience with rotating and static equipment maintenance and repair
- Proven experience in workshop operations and shutdown/turnaround support
- Good knowledge of safety standards, maintenance procedures, and industry best practice
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, mechanical systems, and machinery diagnostics.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to maintenance operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead and work within a team.
