From software developers and product managers to designers and strategists, Team UI is driven to achieve our common goal: Rethinking IT.&nbsp;At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity.</p> <p></p></div><p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Role Summary</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This job will mainly focus on the networking products,&nbsp; take the responsibility of design, development, and testing for all aspects of mechanical components, and have a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and features.</span></p> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Create, experiment with, and evaluate new product concepts.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Improving designs on current products for longer life and more reliability, and testing products at field locations.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Capable of troubleshooting and debugging prototypes and MP Product.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform tests and conduct engineering analysis.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Write analytical reports and good practice documents.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Responsible for project deliverables, including the management of engineering budgets, schedules, and customer interfaces.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet UI technical, quality, and cost objectives.</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Minimum 8+ years of Mechanical&nbsp; Engineering experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">5+ years of networking product mechanical design and development experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Expressed interest in mechanical engineering in the networking industry.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Demonstrated aptitude for creative, “out of the box” thinking.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new things.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Understanding of basic mechanics, material science, tooling, and manufacturing.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Great communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional team members and suppliers.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proficient with 3D CAD applications.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Solid data analysis, data management, basic statistics, and experimental design skills</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Fluency in English.</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Leadership in projects.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Be familiar with the SolidWorks CAD tool.</span></li> </ul>
