<p><strong>Kelso Building Services</strong> is seeking an experienced <strong>HVAC Project Sales professional</strong> to drive commercial project revenue across the <strong>Wasatch Front and surrounding Utah markets</strong>. This role focuses on selling <strong>turnkey HVAC solutions</strong>, including design-build systems, retrofits, and energy-efficient upgrades.</p>
<p>We’re looking for someone who combines <strong>technical HVAC knowledge with strong sales execution</strong>, and who can work directly with building owners, facility managers, and contractors to develop and close project opportunities.</p>

<h2>About the Role</h2>
<p>This is a <strong>field-based, project-focused sales position</strong> responsible for identifying, developing, and closing commercial HVAC opportunities. You will play a key role in expanding our project pipeline while ensuring solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with client goals.</p>
<p>Success in this role requires the ability to <strong>self-generate opportunities, manage longer sales cycles, and collaborate across engineering and operations teams</strong>.</p>

<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<h3>Business Development & Pipeline Growth</h3>
<ul>
<li>Build relationships with <strong>commercial clients, general contractors, and decision-makers</strong> across Utah</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for <strong>system replacements, retrofits, upgrades, and new construction projects</strong></li>
<li>Develop and maintain a <strong>qualified project pipeline</strong> through proactive outreach and networking</li>
</ul>
<h3>Solution Development & Sales Execution</h3>
<ul>
<li>Conduct <strong>site assessments</strong> to evaluate equipment condition, system performance, and customer needs</li>
<li>Recommend <strong>turnkey HVAC solutions</strong>, including design-build and energy-efficient upgrades</li>
<li>Prepare and present <strong>detailed proposals</strong> outlining scope, pricing, timelines, and ROI</li>
</ul>
<h3>Project Coordination</h3>
<ul>
<li>Partner with <strong>engineering, estimating, and project management teams</strong> to ensure accurate design and execution</li>
<li>Support projects through the sales-to-operations handoff to maintain client expectations</li>
<li>Track project progress and maintain alignment between client and internal teams</li>
</ul>
<h3>Market & Performance Focus</h3>
<ul>
<li>Stay current on <strong>Utah market conditions, energy standards, and HVAC technologies</strong></li>
<li>Meet or exceed <strong>annual project sales targets and margin goals</strong></li>
<li>Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and activity tracking within CRM systems</li>
</ul>

<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>3+ years of commercial HVAC project sales or mechanical sales experience</strong></li>
<li>Strong knowledge of <strong>commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and retrofit/replacement strategies</strong></li>
<li>Proven ability to <strong>develop and close project-based opportunities</strong> (not just service sales)</li>
<li>Experience working with <strong>contractors, facility managers, and building owners</strong></li>
<li>Ability to manage <strong>multiple projects and longer sales cycles simultaneously</strong></li>
<li>Proficiency in <strong>CRM systems and Microsoft Office</strong></li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within Utah</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience with <strong>design-build or plan/spec project sales</strong></li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>Utah commercial construction and facilities market</strong></li>

<li>Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, business, or related field</li>
