Mechanical Resident Inspector / Engineer

Intertek, a leading international company specializing in Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) services, is seeking a Mechanical Resident Inspector / Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical inspections and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements on-site. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution of inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed mechanical inspections on-site according to project schedules and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and project teams to monitor progress and report any deviations or non-conformances.
• Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Identify issues and provide technical guidance to resolve problems promptly.
• Support safety procedures and ensure all activities comply with HSE regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection status.
• Facilitate communication between the client, contractors, and Intertek management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Engineer in industrial projects, preferably in the energy or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
