As a Dermatology Medical Assistant at our Greensboro location, you will play a key role in supporting physicians, caring for patients, and keeping the practice running smoothly. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and excited to contribute to a collaborative clinical team. Dermatology experience is preferred, but a strong passion for patient care and willingness to learn are just as important.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting detailed medical histories.
• Assist physicians during examinations and dermatologic procedures by providing hands-on clinical support.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and accurately handle specimen collection and processing.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Schedule patient appointments and support clear communication across the clinical team.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and appropriate skincare routines.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary medical supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent clinical experience is preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology, particularly relating to dermatology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient and team interactions.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software is advantageous.
