<p><strong>Medical Director</strong></p>
<p>Omnicom Health Medical Communications (OHMC) is seeking a Medical Director to join our Medical & Scientific Services team and oversee the development, execution and delivery of multiple medical communication projects in Promotional Medical Education, Medical Affairs and/or Publications Planning & Strategy . The Medical Director will develop new and strengthen existing client relationships, ensuring that the scientific needs of the account are being met with strategic focus, scientific rigor and accuracy, and clinical relevance. The Medical Director is also responsible for the supervision and development of junior scientific team members.<strong> </strong></p>

<p><strong>Scientific Content</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee content development, including primary writing, ensuring efficient execution and delivery to client</li>
<li>Manage a wide range of complex projects across multiple teams/therapeutic areas</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Fiscal Responsibility</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to scope creation and provide feedback on scientific components of budget development</li>
<li>Collaborate with Client Services partner on forecasting and resource planning</li>
<li>Ensure scientific teams are staffed appropriately</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Strategic Perspective and Guidance</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as scientific lead, providing strategic direction and demonstrating consistent leadership and management</li>
<li>Demonstrate deep understanding of assigned therapeutic categories and strategic needs of associated stakeholders</li>
<li>Proven ability to develop a rigorous strategic plan focused on achieving client goals</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Client Engagement and Influence</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build and manage strong client relationships</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for innovation, especially through digital channels</li>
<li>Moderate and facilitate effective, productive client sessions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Team Engagement and Influence</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work with Client Services partner to plan for team organization and project execution in line with timelines and budget</li>
<li>Provide routine, proactive feedback on client relationships, including suggestions for improving client satisfaction, to Team and Senior Leadership</li>
<li>Demonstrate effective and efficient time and project management skills on assigned accounts</li>
<li>Proactively manage Scientific Services team and individual performance, including training and development of junior scientists</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Business Development</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop understanding of agency capabilities and business/industry environments to help target and act on new business opportunities</li>
<li>Work with functional teams to cross-sell scientific services<strong> </strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>An advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD) with 5+ years of experience in a Medical Communications agency setting</li>
<li>Strong therapeutic category knowledge and experience, especially Oncology</li>
<li>Experience establishing and growing pharmaceutical client relationships</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to interpret data and provide strategic/scientific direction to clients</li>
<li>Strong organizational, problem solving, project management, and financial skills with expertise overseeing a range of complex projects within a team structure</li>
<li>Strong self-motivation and enthusiasm with demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly detail-oriented environment</li>
<li>Experience managing, mentoring, and motivating scientists</li>
<li>In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical standards, compliance, and regulations</li>
<li>Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including strong proficiency in related technologies (Microsoft applications, Internet research platforms, etc)</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to travel as needed</li>
