About the role
How You Will Help:
- The melt crew must be able to interact with liquid metal at temperatures exceeding (2800) degrees.
- Responsible for maintaining holders / ladles and at times repairs on the furnace including daily patches, repairs and relining the refractory.
- Preparing the pouring ladles for daily use; pouring metal into ladles.
- Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures; molten iron safety; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles.
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
What You Will Bring:
- Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
- Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles.
- Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training.
- Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions.
Compensation:
- $23.50 + shift differential (depending on shift) USD hourly.
