As a Men’s Gymnastics Compulsory Teams Coach (Levels 3-6), you’ll play an important role in developing competitive athletes in a positive, structured, and encouraging environment.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>Why You’ll Love It Here:</strong></div> <div>• Coach Motivated Athletes — Work with dedicated gymnasts who are excited to learn, improve, and compete.<br>• Join a Supportive Team — At Houston Gymnastics Academy, we value teamwork, communication, and creating a positive culture for athletes and staff.<br>• Make a Lasting Impact — Help athletes build confidence, resilience, discipline, and strong work ethic both inside and outside the gym.<br>• Grow as a Coach — Opportunities for continued education, leadership development, and professional growth within our program.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></div> <div>• Coaching men’s compulsory team athletes during practices, conditioning, and skill development<br>• Teaching proper technique, strength, flexibility, and progressions on all men’s gymnastics events<br>• Creating a safe, positive, and motivating environment for athletes of varying skill levels<br>• Assisting athletes in preparing for competitions throughout the season<br>• Providing constructive feedback and encouragement to support athlete growth and confidence<br>• Communicating professionally with parents, athletes, and fellow staff members<br>• Monitoring athlete safety and enforcing gym policies and procedures at all times<br>• Assisting with equipment setup, organization, and overall gym cleanliness<br>• Supporting team events, meets, and program activities as needed</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>Your Schedule:</strong></div> <div>• Monday - Friday from 4:30pm-8:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm<br>• Availability for weekend competitions and special events as needed<br>• Opportunities for additional hours and program growth</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><strong>What It Takes:</strong></div> <div>• Minimum of 1-year Men's Competitive Gymnastics coaching experience</div> <div>•&nbsp;A positive attitude and passion for coaching and mentoring athletes<br>• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills<br>• Knowledge of men’s gymnastics compulsory routines, skill progressions, and safety techniques strongly preferred<br>• Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining structure and discipline<br>• Reliable, professional, and safety-minded<br>• Comfortable being active and on your feet throughout practices<br><br></div> <div><strong>Fine Print</strong></div> <div>A few requirements to note:<br>• Ability to see and hear clearly from across the gym floor<br>• Ability to provide sustained attention and supervision during practices and activities<br>• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, spot athletes, and move throughout the gym during shifts<br>• Ability to lift, push, or move equipment up to 50 pounds<br>• Must have reliable transportation<br>• Must be able to maintain a consistent coaching schedule and attend assigned competitions/events</div> <p>An Equal Opportunity Organization</p> <p>Houston Gymnastics Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex or gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or marital status.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
