Mental Health Specialist

Programs in Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is an evidence-based outreach program to help people with serious mental illness integrate into the community. Bright Harbor Healthcare provides PACT services to more than 160 people in all of Ocean County. The PACT program is a multidisciplinary team for persons with a serious and persistent mental illness. A team consists of a psychiatrist, advanced practice nurse, nurses, clinicians, co-occurring specialists, vocational specialists, mental health specialists, and peer mental health specialists.

Position Title: PACT I Mental Health Specialist
Position Type: Full Time; 40 Hours/Weekly

Responsibilities:

• Assist consumers with ADL's through modeling, direct assistance and coaching
• Provide and engage consumers in community setting through outreach services
• Provide direct assistance to consumer's with obtaining basic needs
• Provide psychosocial education for consumers and family members on mental illness, symptom management, medication management and life skills

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a Human Services Field.
• One year experience working in the provision of mental health services preferred
• Valid NJ Driver' License with less than 6 points
