Role Overview
We’re recruiting for an experienced Azure & Microsoft 365 Engineer to take ownership of a growing cloud and productivity environment. This is a newly created in-house role, offering the chance to play a key part in the transition from outsourced support to internal capability. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimisation and security of the Azure platform and Microsoft 365 estate, while supporting a wider infrastructure environment across a collaborative UK and Bermuda-based team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and optimise the Azure environment, including subscriptions, governance, access controls and cost management
Take ownership of the Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID and related services
Support security, compliance and identity management across the Microsoft cloud estate
Administer Intune / Endpoint Manager, device compliance policies and application deployment
Monitor and respond to alerts across Microsoft Defender and associated security platforms
Develop PowerShell automation to improve efficiency and consistency across administration tasks
Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain a resilient, secure and scalable environment
Contribute to documentation, licensing reviews, cloud improvement projects and wider infrastructure support
What We’re Looking For
Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
A proven background in cloud infrastructure, identity, security and productivity platforms
Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams administration
Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, conditional access, MFA and governance best practice
PowerShell scripting skills and a proactive approach to automation and continuous improvement
Confidence working in a regulated or security-conscious environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams
Desirable Experience
Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator
Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure B2C or Windows 365
Exposure to email security, vulnerability management or privileged access management tools
Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry
