Mid- Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel

<p>AIFT is a group of innovative businesses with a shared vision to become the security layer of the future, providing cybersecurity and insurance protection for digital mega trends including AI, Web3 and future lifestyles.​ The group comprises OneDegree, the leading Hong Kong digital insurer, OneInfinity, first in Asia and Middle East to insure digital assets, and Vulcan, cybersecurity with a focus on GenAI and AI agents.&nbsp;</p> <p>Want to be at the forefront of developments in global megatrends like AI, Web3 and future lifestyles?&nbsp;</p> <p>We are looking for a Legal &amp; Compliance Counsel / Senior Legal &amp; Compliance Counsel to support the next stage of our growth across Hong Kong, Middle East, South East Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and beyond.&nbsp;</p> <p>If you are self-motivated and a good team player, come and join our team!&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Advise on a variety of legal, compliance and governance related matters&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Help drive legal, regulatory, compliance, governance, IP and data privacy strategy&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Liaise with regulators including the Hong Kong Insurance Authority&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Proactively identify and mitigate legal, regulatory and compliance risks in the business&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including insurance policies and SaaS contracts&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Support on fundraising and group structuring&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Help shape and support the group’s governance landscape including directors and investors matters&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Work on investments and acquisitions for the group&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What we’re looking for:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Qualified as a lawyer in a common law or Asian jurisdiction&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years post-qualification experience* (with flexibility for exceptional candidates)&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Insurance experience a bonus&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Experience using GenAI tools and agents a bonus&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Tech/SaaS legal experience a bonus&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p>Fluent English and Chinese essential (including being able to draft in both languages)&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>We are open to candidates from 5 years’ PQE upwards (with flexibility for exceptional candidates). This hire may be made at Legal &amp; Compliance Counsel or Senior Legal &amp; Compliance Counsel level, depending on the individual’s legal and regulatory experience, insurance sector exposure, and ability to operate independently.&nbsp;</p>
