The customer develops secure digital banking platforms and financial solutions to serve a diverse global client base.</p> <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and enhance backend applications using Java, focusing on performance, scalability, and resilience</li> <li>Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus</li> <li>Support integrations and customizations related to the Nasdaq Calypso ecosystem</li> <li>Develop event-driven solutions leveraging AWS components</li> <li>Work with distributed architectures using SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway</li> <li>Implement and evolve observability practices, including logs, metrics, and tracing</li> <li>Participate in architecture discussions, code quality initiatives, and technical decision-making</li> <li>Contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and engineering efficiency</li> <li>Apply AI-enabled development tools where relevant to improve productivity and delivery quality</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>4+ years of experience in software engineering with a backend focus</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Java</li> <li>Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus</li> <li>Mandatory AWS experience, including:</li> <li>SQS</li> <li>SNS</li> <li>DynamoDB</li> <li>Lambda</li> <li>API Gateway</li> <li>Experience with microservices and distributed architectures</li> <li>Knowledge of observability practices (metrics, logging, and tracing)</li> <li>Experience working in agile environments (Scrum)</li> <li>Experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor or developer copilots</li> </ul> <h3>Nice to have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with Nasdaq Calypso</li> <li>Reactive programming experience (Mutiny / Project Reactor)</li> <li>Experience in financial markets or investment banking systems</li> </ul> <h3>English level</h3> <p>Intermediate</p> <h3>Legal &amp; Hiring Information</h3> <ul> <li>Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more</li> <li>Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions</li> <li>Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
