Because we were established for the purpose of public service and not for profit, we measure our success in the impact of our service.</p></div><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Military Deception (MILDEC) Planner</strong> provides technical expertise supporting <strong>Joint Information Operations (IO)</strong> and <strong>Irregular Warfare (IW)</strong> planning and execution, with a focus on competition activities and readiness to surge for contingencies, crisis action, disaster relief, and exercises . The role develops and integrates MILDEC concepts and products into joint plans and orders, ensuring alignment with <strong>Operations in the Information Environment (OIE)</strong> and broader <strong>Information Related Capabilities (IRCs)</strong> in support of USFK operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) .</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop MILDEC operational concepts, plans, annexes/tabs, estimates, and related deliverables for joint planning</li> <li>Research, develop, validate, utilize, analyze, and assess MILDEC tools and capabilities and their integration with IO/IW and sensitive activities</li> <li>Incorporate MILDEC and related IRCs into operations orders, annexes, and evaluation/assessment plans</li> <li>Support USFK and components in establishing and managing IO and sensitive activities planning/execution processes, including coordination across stakeholders</li> <li>Review and advise on impacts of national strategies, policies, and joint doctrine on deception planning and execution</li> <li>Contribute to IRC proposals and roll-ups to amplify effects of USFK OAIs and support campaign synchronization</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience)</li> <li>5+ years of experience in joint planning, information operations, deception planning, or related operational planning</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to produce staff-quality planning products (concepts, annexes/tabs, estimates) and staff them through coordination processes</li> <li>Working knowledge of joint doctrine/strategy analysis and its application to operational planning</li> <li>Ability to operate effectively in a security-conscious environment and comply with all training/access requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior service or direct support experience at a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Task Force (JTF), or component headquarters</li> <li>Experience integrating deception with broader IRC portfolios and campaign planning (OIE integration)</li> <li>Experience supporting sensitive activities planning and assessment in classified environments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Potential Scenarios &amp; Expected Outcomes</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Competition operations support:</strong> integrated MILDEC inputs embedded into campaign planning and execution, aligned to OIE</li> <li><strong>Crisis/exercise surge:</strong> rapid MILDEC planning deliverables and assessment framework incorporated into orders and evaluations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="line-height: 1;">&nbsp;</p> <p>In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail&nbsp;<a href="mailto:Recruiting@anser.org">Recruiting@anser.org</a></p> <p>ANSER is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
