About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Diagnostic and repair tools and equipment used in dissembling, repairing and installing mechanical equipment
- Common reasons for mechanical failure and the steps necessary to correct malfunctioning
- Responsible for varied types of motors and their operation
- Working with the Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Analyze mechanical problems, organize assigned maintenance and repair work, and develop effective work methods
- Rebuild and install new and/or rebuilt assemblies in equipment
- Weld broken parts, burn and fabricate
- Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, using diagram schematics and parts manual
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- The ability to cut with a torch
- Welding experience
- Fabricating experience
- Trouble shooting pneumatic and hydraulics
- Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion
- The ability to work with different tools such as grinders, drills/hand and presses
- Can identify bearings
- Know and understand metric for measuring
- Being able to read a tape measure
- Ability to work independently
- Possesses a sense of urgency and ownership

- Starting pay rate $36.93. $2.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
