We’re now looking for a Millwright within our Harrismith factory to ensure that all safety, quality and production targets are met. To reduce and/or eliminate Engineering losses and maintain high engineering standard throughout the factory.

 

A day in the life of a Millwright:

• Carry out the planned maintenance required on Plant.
• Proactively seek ways to continuously improve equipment performance.
• Install, service, repair and maintain existing and new equipment (Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes, Shirnk Tunnels, etc.).
• Faultfinding on PLC's (Mainly Allan Bradley) Programming and Faultfinding on VSD’s (Rockwell, Schneider, SEW, etc.)
• Faultfinding and setting controllers, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters and valves.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings.

 

What will make you successful

• Minimum N3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Millwright Trade.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Millwright trade.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• In depth knowledge of maintenance practices.
• Coaching and mentoring production operators.
• Knowledge of TPM will be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Steam systems, pneumatics, & hydraulics will be an advantage.
