Through our multi-omics and bioinformatics models, we have figured out how to read the disease’s signals in blood with high accuracy to detect cancer in its earliest stages. Starting with a colorectal cancer screening liquid biopsy test, we are building a multi-cancer platform that can identify the unique DNA regions associated with different types of cancers. </div>The Opportunity: Universal Diagnostics (UDx) is seeking a Molecular Technologist to join our Lab Operations Team in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. In this role, you will perform a range of molecular techniques, including whole blood processing, DNA/cfDNA extraction, PCR, and Next-Generation Sequencing. You will also support equipment maintenance and sample tracking to ensure efficient and reliable lab operations as we continue to scale the UDx Signal-C assay. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including assay development, automation, bioinformatics, and quality to support ongoing lab execution and study work.    How you’ll contribute: <div class="s22">• Perform end-to-end NGS workflows, including plasma processing, cfDNA extraction, library preparation, and sequencing,</div> <div class="s22">• Maintain accurate and complete documentation in LIMS and laboratory records</div> <div class="s22">• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed </div> <div class="s22">• Follow SOPs and batch records to ensure consistent and reproducible results</div> <div class="s22">• Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, including documenting instrument maintenance</div> <div class="s22">• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including handling hazardous materials and waste disposal procedures </div> <div class="s22">• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support study execution and lab operations</div> <div class="s22">• Document deviations and corrective actions in accordance with quality standards </div> <div class="s22">• Assists with training and mentoring junior lab technicians. </div>   What you’ll bring: <div class="s26">• Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Chemistry or a related field, with hands-on experience in a molecular laboratory </div> <div class="s26">• Experience with NGS workflows, including DNA extraction, library preparation, and hybrid capture </div> <div class="s26">• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and ability to interpret data </div> <div class="s26">• Experience handling, quantifying, and purifying DNA samples </div> <div class="s26">• Familiarity with automated liquid handling systems is a plus </div> <div class="s26">• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) </div> <div class="s26">• Experience working in a CLIA or CAP high-complexity laboratory preferred </div> <div class="s26">• Familiarity with LIMS platforms preferred</div>   What we´ll offer: <div class="s30">• 22 days of PTO with the possibility to carry over 10 days to the following year. </div> <div class="s30">• Company Holidays, plus your Birthday off!  </div> <div class="s30">• Company-sponsored benefit plans, including medical, dental, and vision insurance plus life, STD, and LTD coverage, and 401(k). </div> <div class="s30">• Flexible work schedule  </div> <div class="s30">• And more to come! </div><div class="content-conclusion"> Why Now?  This is an exciting time to be at Universal DX.
