About the role
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Secretary to support a Commercial Mortgage Broker in handling daily administrative tasks and documentation. This role involves preparing and managing mortgage paperwork, maintaining client files, coordinating communication, and ensuring all documents are submitted accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, impeccable attention to detail, and solid experience using Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize paperwork for commercial mortgage applications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, records, and documentation.
- Assist with gathering required documents from clients and third parties.
- Coordinate schedules, manage emails, and communicate with lenders, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Use Excel to track loan pipelines, update client information, organize data, and prepare simple reports.
- Ensure all forms and submissions are complete, compliant, and error-free.
- Perform general administrative and secretarial tasks to support the Mortgage Broker’s daily workflow.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of mortgage, or document-processing experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, data entry)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in real estate, lending, or mortgage processing.
- Familiarity with loan documents or mortgage-related paperwork.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
