Our teams are successful when our patients achieve their goals of stability, connection, and confidence during and after the program.&nbsp;</p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Job Description</strong></span></h1> <p>The Music Therapist will be a part of the multidisciplinary team for clients enrolled in the Psychiatric Day Treatment program at Overstory Health and is responsible for running the “Creative” group session . The music therapist is responsible for leading and documenting music therapy interventions and client responses in the electronic medical record and will align with client’s individual treatment goals.</p> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>Lead one hour music therapy groups 2x per week from 1-2pm with clients</li> <li>Document the music therapy intervention and individual client notes based on their responses</li> <li>Communicate to the multidisciplinary team about engagement in the groups and clinical observations</li> <li>Develop music therapy lesson plans and share with the clinic director to ensure alignment with mission, vision, and values and ensure appropriateness at this level of care</li> </ul> <h1><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Experience/Skills Required for Success</strong></span></h1> <ul> <li>1+ years experience doing music therapy</li> <li>Experience in hospital setting, intensive outpatient, or partial hospital setting preferred</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in music therapy and/or music therapist certification</li> <li>Highly organized, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Familiarity with mental health conditions including co-curring substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, and complex mood disorders</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT OVERSTORY IS ALL ABOUT</strong></p> <p>We are guided by our mission to deliver compassionate and connected care to guide individuals through the most challenging times in their lives, one group at a time.
