By combining rigorous safety and compliance practices with proven&nbsp;methodologies, we help clients minimize risk, reduce outages,</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> meet performance&nbsp;benchmarks, and extend the useful life of their electrical assets.</span></p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>We are seeking Field Service technicians and experienced Engineers to perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of medium- and high-voltage electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in power distribution equipment, NETA testing procedures, and critical electrical infrastructure. This role requires a self-motivated professional capable of independently managing projects, interacting directly with customers, and delivering high-quality technical documentation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Electrical Testing &amp; Commissioning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Perform acceptance, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of electrical power equipment ranging from 600V through 500kV.</li> <li>Conduct testing in accordance with NETA, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA, and customer-specific standards.</li> <li>Perform field testing and commissioning of:</li> <ul> <li>Medium-voltage switchgear</li> <li>Circuit breakers</li> <li>Protective relays</li> <li>Power and distribution transformers</li> <li>Instrument transformers</li> <li>Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)</li> <li>Motor Control Centers (MCC)</li> <li>Low-voltage switchgear</li> <li>Grounding systems</li> <li>Substation equipment</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Troubleshooting &amp; Technical Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Diagnose and resolve electrical system and equipment issues.</li> <li>Support equipment energization, startup, and commissioning activities.</li> <li>Evaluate test results and identify equipment deficiencies or operational risks.</li> <li>Provide technical recommendations for corrective actions and system improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Project Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead field testing and commissioning projects from initiation through completion.</li> <li>Coordinate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.</li> <li>Manage project schedules, labor hours, and budgets.</li> <li>Participate in job walks, scope development, and proposal support activities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reporting &amp; Documentation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare detailed technical reports documenting testing procedures, results, observations, and recommendations.</li> <li>Maintain accurate records of field activities and test data.</li> <li>Communicate project updates and findings to customers and internal teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Customer Relations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted technical resource for clients.</li> <li>Respond promptly to customer inquiries and project-related communications.</li> <li>Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout all project phases.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV preferred).</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of experience performing electrical testing and commissioning.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems from 600V through 500kV.</li> <li>Experience with protective relay testing and troubleshooting.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.</li> <li>Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends when required.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electrical testing software.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent military experience.</li> <li>Experience in data centers, utility substations, industrial facilities, renewable energy facilities, or mission-critical environments.</li> <li>Knowledge of NERC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and OSHA electrical safety requirements.</li> <li>Project leadership or supervisory experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></p> <p>The successful candidate will demonstrate technical excellence, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety while delivering reliable testing, commissioning, and maintenance services for critical electrical infrastructure.
