This is a hands-on, high-ownership role — you’ll architect, deploy, and manage everything from fiber-connected multi-building networks to secure, air-gapped environments supporting engineering, manufacturing, and compute-intensive workloads.</p> <p data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">You’ll collaborate closely with systems, security, and engineering teams to ensure our networks are fast, reliable, and built for scale. This role includes helping design and optimize high-performance compute (HPC) clusters, ensuring low-latency, high-throughput connectivity for simulation and engineering workloads.</p> <p demanding environment — where precision, reliability, and scalability are key.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise and lab networks spanning multiple buildings and facilities.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Architect and operate air-gapped and isolated networks with strict segmentation, access control, and security monitoring.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Collaborate with systems and engineering teams to design and optimize high-performance compute (HPC) clusters and their supporting network infrastructure.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Configure and manage switching, routing, wireless, and firewall systems (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Unifi).</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Implement and maintain fiber-based WAN connectivity between buildings and remote sites.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and QoS configurations.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Integrate on-prem and cloud networking to support Azure and Microsoft 365 hybrid environments.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Deploy and maintain network monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Grafana, NetBox, Datadog).</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Develop resilient architectures with redundancy, observability, and security built in.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Collaborate across IT, security, and engineering teams to support high-performance and secure operations.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures following ITSM and change management best practices.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues across physical and virtual environments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent technical role.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Proven experience designing and operating multi-building or campus networks.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Strong knowledge of fiber WAN, switching, routing, and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Unifi).</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Experience building and maintaining air-gapped or segmented network environments.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Familiarity with high-performance compute (HPC) or other low-latency networking systems.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Proficiency with network monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting tools.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network security.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Ability to take full ownership — from architecture to hands-on implementation and operations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated technical operational environments (e.g., GCC High, FedRAMP).</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Familiarity with Zero Trust, SDN, or network automation concepts.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Scripting and automation skills using Python, Ansible, or PowerShell.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Exposure to ITSM, incident/change management, and configuration control processes.</li> <li data-prosemirror-content-type="node" data-prosemirror-node-name="paragraph" data-prosemirror-node-block="true">Certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Juniper JNCIP, or equivalent.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <p>The base salary range for this role is <strong>$110,000-$170,000 </strong>annually.&nbsp;</p> <p>Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. <span data-teams="true">Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors.</span> In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision &amp; dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.</p>
