Network Engineer

<p>Graviton is a privately funded quantitative trading firm striving for excellence in financial markets' research. We are seeking a Network Engineer for our team in Gurgaon. Graviton trades across a multitude of asset classes and trading venues using a gamut of concepts and techniques ranging from time series analysis, filtering, classification, stochastic models, pattern recognition to statistical inference analysing terabytes of data to come up with ideas to identify pricing anomalies in financial markets.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Working with traders to add or modify network connectivity to financial exchanges</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Troubleshoot and analyze network-related performance issues</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Taking part in the design of networks for new offices and data centers</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Finding low latency solutions for existing networks</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Provide network support for production, office, and end user environments</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perform moves, adds, and changes in the network</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Perform market connectivity tests and circuit migrations</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist with datacenter migrations from time-to-time</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Liaising with third parties to maintain communication lines and data center infrastructure</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate with remote hand technicians to troubleshoot network or hardware issues and provide break/fix resolution for our data centers globally.</span></li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with</span></p> <ul> <li>nowledge of client-server architectures and network design.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of Cisco IOS/NxOS and other network operating systems</li> <li>Knowledge of routing protocols including static routing, BGP and OSPF.</li> <li>Knowledge of NAT, PAT, PBR.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of L2 protocols.</li> <li>Knowledge of WAN, LAN and datacenter network architectures.</li> <li>Knowledge of network design, network operation or network automation</li> <li>Experience with multicast configuration (PIM, IGMP).</li> <li>Experience of Firewall technology and&nbsp; VPN technology including site-to-site VPN &amp; GRE.</li> <li>Knowledge of Unix or Linux</li> <li>Basic scripting skills, such as, Python (a plus)</li> <li>CCNA or higher (a plus)</li> <li>Systems administration experience (a plus)</li> <li>Knowledge of datacenter installation and cabling standards</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Benefits:</strong></h3> <p>Our open and collaborative work culture gives you the freedom to innovate and experiment.
