In this role, you will design, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale service provider network infrastructure, including escalated issues. You will work closely with internal and external clients, operations and systems teams, financial exchanges, and fellow Network Engineers to design and automate solutions, research and develop improvements, resolve system issues, and support business analysis.    Responsibilities and duties (includes but not limited to):  <ul> <li>Translate business requirements into architecture </li> <li>Convert availability, performance, and regulatory needs into technical designs  </li> <li>Create HLDs depicting Logical Architecture and Traffic flow </li> <li>Define design principles with focus on scalability, resilience, simplicity and standardization </li> <li>Strategize on methods to improve overall network infrastructure with a low-latency profile </li> <li>Design and deploy customer networks with automation, security, and operability as focus  </li> <li>Evaluate vendors, platforms, and protocols for long-term fit </li> <li>Support internal and external customer facing issues as a point of escalation </li> <li>Generate, Follow Up, and Complete tickets for internal projects and customers  </li> <li>Construct valid configurations for implementation based upon design and/or technical concepts </li> <li>Implement critical configuration changes as required through established change control processes and systems with little to no guidance </li> <li>Participate in daily meetings to review changes and underlying impacts </li> </ul>   Education, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements)  <ul> <li>10-14 years of experience working on network equipment in an ISP style environment or a large NOC </li> <li>7-10 years of experience with Fortinet, Arista, and/or Cisco hardware and software  </li> <li>CCIE or JNCIE certified or equivalent level of knowledge </li> <li>Expert understanding and deployment experience in the following technologies:  </li> <li>IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP) </li> <li>Firewalls (VPNs, Policies) </li> <li>Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF) </li> <li>Multicast Routing (IGMP, PIM)  </li> <li>NAT (Static, Dynamic) </li> <li>Network Sniffers (TCP/IP Analysis) </li> <li>NTP, PTP and Network Timing </li> <li>Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and lead system recovery effectively </li> <li>Clear verbal and written communicator </li> <li>Capable of prioritizing and managing own workload  </li> <li>Self-motivated </li> <li>Capable of working with little supervision  </li> <li>Creative thinker with out of the box ideas </li> <li>Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and help others develop  </li> <li>Interested in cutting edge technology </li> <li>Driven to develop own skills and knowledge  </li> <li>Scripting in Bash or Python </li> <li>Familiarity with Linux </li> <li>Understanding of JIRA as a ticketing system </li> </ul>   Working Arrangements  This is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions/geographies including but not limited to EMEA, USA and APAC).  APAC hours (Monday - Friday) 06:30 - 15:30 IST with Occasional OOH works including weekends and Bank Holidays (as Business needs arise) IMPORTANT DATA PRIVACY INFORMATION: This position is available with PICO TECHNOLOGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. The controller of your personal data will be PICO TECHNOLOGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED  For further information on what personal data we collect, how we will process your personal data and your rights with respect to your personal data please read our Pico Job Candidate Privacy Notice, <a href="https://go.pico.net/l/128111/2023-05-01/4s49my/128111/1682995105w7mQ7hz0/Pico_Job_Candidate_Privacy_Notice.pdf" target="_blank">View Here</a>.  <div class="content-conclusion">Be a part of Pico Family Pico is an equal opportunity employer.
