With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.</p></div><p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">We're looking for a <strong>Staff NPI Manufacturing Engineer</strong> to lead the transition of innovative, electromechanical designs from prototype through pilot builds into scaled production. This role focuses on <strong>new product introduction (NPI)</strong> and is critical in ensuring manufacturability, quality, and testability across <strong>electromechanical subsystems and sub-assemblies</strong> including hardware, sensors, actuators, cables, and integration modules.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is a highly <strong>cross-functional role</strong>, partnering with electrical and mechanical design, test engineering, quality, and supply chain—along with EMS and mechanical suppliers—to ensure rapid, repeatable, and high-quality production launches.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About the Work</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Lead NPI activities</strong> across multiple product lines, managing the transition from design to production for various electromechanical subassemblies.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Own DFM/DFA/DFT efforts</strong> during early design phases to influence product architecture and ensure manufacturing scalability.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop and release <strong>work instructions, BOMs, process flows, test procedures, and fixture/tooling designs</strong> across prototype and pilot builds.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Drive <strong>build readiness</strong>, supporting Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT activities including line bring-up, process validation, and pilot build execution.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Troubleshoot and resolve issues at the <strong>sub-system and system level</strong>, conducting structured <strong>root cause analysis</strong> for mechanical or electrical issues.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Partner with EMS providers and component suppliers to drive <strong>first-pass yield, throughput, and process capability</strong>.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support <strong>yield improvements and cost reduction</strong> through data analysis and process optimization using SPC, lean, and 6 sigma tools.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Contribute to <strong>environmental, reliability, and lifecycle testing</strong> plans and setups (e.g., burn-in, thermal cycling, HALT).</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop, Review, and Release manufacturing specifications, drawings, BOMs, processes, SOPs, equipment, workflows, and tools/fixtures for new products to support high-quality production.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure effective qualification, process capabilities, and material disposition.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Document processes clearly and communicate effectively and timely across teams to facilitate seamless collaboration.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>About You</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">5+ years in <strong>manufacturing assembly </strong>for electromechanical or embedded systems products; experience in <strong>NPI environments directly working on the manufacturing floor, on-site, day to day,</strong> is highly preferred.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Hands-on experience in supporting and <strong>troubleshooting</strong> the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems utilizing data analysis and lean methods.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience in transitioning products and processes from development to production (NPI), including into Production Validation Testing (PVT) through to end of life (EOL).</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with creating manufacturing test requirements, test stand equipment development, validation testing, Engineering Change Order (ECO) production release, and training engineers, production staff, and suppliers/CMs.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proficiency with Altium and/or Creo is a significant plus, along with mechanical design knowledge to create and release test fixtures.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience supporting EMS/CM partners and driving <strong>supply chain readiness</strong>.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Working knowledge of <strong>FMEA, ECO processes, PLM systems</strong>, and <strong>design validation</strong> best practices.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Excellent communication, technical documentation, and collaboration skills.</span></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Location</span> </strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is an onsite position at our Salem, OR office.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><em>The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
