<p><strong>About This Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a meticulous Nuclear Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team. The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of operations, equipment, and processes within a nuclear fuel cycle facility. This role involves being part of the team developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance programs to meet regulatory and operational standards.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) programs in compliance with NRC, DOE, and ASME standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and other relevant requirements.</li>
<li>Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.</li>
<li>Oversee the qualification of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with QA requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.</li>
<li>Review and approve technical documentation, including procedures, plans, and reports, to ensure alignment with QA standards.</li>
<li>Support the development of training programs on quality assurance policies, procedures, and best practices for facility personnel.</li>
<li>Prepare and present QA performance metrics and reports to management and regulatory bodies.</li>
<li>Participate in regulatory reviews and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with nuclear quality standards.</li>
<li>Stay informed about evolving regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to nuclear quality assurance.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.</li>
<li>Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information.</li>
<li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field. </li>
<li>Strong knowledge of quality standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, and ISO 9001.</li>
<li>Familiarity with regulatory requirements from the NRC, DOE, and other applicable authorities.</li>
<li>Proficiency in QA tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and auditing techniques.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).</li>
<li>Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment or a highly technical role requiring a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to complete tasks within tight timeframes or budget constraints.</li>
<li>Quality assurance experience in the nuclear industry or a related regulated environment.</li>
<li>Certification in Quality Assurance or Nuclear QA (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, NQA-1 Lead Auditor).</li>
<li>Advanced degrees.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p>
<p>The base salary range for this role is <strong>$140,000-$200,000 </strong>annually. </p>
<p>Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. <span data-teams="true">Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors.</span> In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.</p>
