About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat work-related injuries such as cuts, bruises, sprains, and burns.
- Stabilize patients in case of serious injuries until emergency medical services arrive.
- Monitor worker health through regular checkups and screenings, including blood pressure, vision, and hearing tests.
- Provide health education on topics like ergonomics, nutrition, and infection control.
- Collaborate with safety officers to identify and address potential hazards on the construction site.
- Investigate work-related incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Report incidents and injuries to relevant authorities as required by regulations.
- Track worker health data and identify trends for proactive interventions.
- Provide confidential counselling and referrals for workers experiencing stress, personal issues, or mental health concerns.
- Offer health education and wellness programs to promote overall employee well-being.
- Ensure adherence to local and international occupational health regulations.
- Train workers on first aid and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate with external medical facilities for referrals and advanced treatment.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health nursing
- Knowledge of workplace injury management and industrial health regulations.
- Strong first aid and emergency response skills.
- Excellent communication and training abilities.
- Good understanding of occupational health risks in the construction sector.
