The higher end of range will apply to seasoned candidates with considerable years of relevant experience.</p> <p>--</p> <p>PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Interim Housing Team as the Safety Support Associate at the Yale Navigation Center.</p> <p><strong>ABOUT OUR INTERIM HOUSING PROGRAMS</strong><br>Our Interim Housing programs provide low-barrier, high-tolerance settings for program participants, referred to as guests, who are experiencing homelessness and have a variety of complex health, functional and social needs. These home-like environments are coupled with support and case management services to assist guests with developing a plan to break the cycle of homelessness, stabilize in housing and reintegrate into the community.</p> <p><strong>WHAT IS A SAFETY SUPPORT ASSOCIATE?<br></strong>The Safety Support Associate plays a key role in ensuring PATH's interim housing sites provide a welcoming, homelike environment by helping ensure safety at the facility for all guests, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities of the Safety Support Associate include:</p> <ul> <li>Monitoring the interim housing site and building rapport with guests</li> <li>Assisting with ensuring the overall safety of the interim housing site through observation, de-escalation strategies, and ongoing participant engagement&nbsp;</li> <li>Coordinating with case management staff and contracted security agencies to ensure safety onsite&nbsp;</li> <li>Monitoring security systems and conducting regular rounds of the grounds and facilities and communicating any discrepancies or concerns&nbsp;</li> <li>Assisting the Associate Director with drafting written documentation and correspondence regarding the site's safety and security</li> <li>In collaboration with other staff members, responding to security concerns or crisis situations as they arise utilizing non-violent crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT YOU BRING<br></strong>We’re looking for candidates that:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and execute confidential information according to HIPAA standards</li> <li>Are excellent at communicating, whether in writing or verbally</li> <li>Have acute attention to detail&nbsp;</li> <li>Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals with urgent and multiple case management and health needs</li> <li>Work just as well independently as they do on a team</li> <li>Exercise mature judgement, and are highly motivated, self-starting and proactive</li> <li>Have strong interpersonal skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Have a strong sense of prioritization and can coordinate multiple demands in a high-pressure environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>One (1) year experience working with vulnerable populations and/or security and/or de-escalation/nonviolent crisis intervention</li> </ul> <p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS </strong><br>To be considered for this position, we require all candidates:</p> <ul> <li>All levels of experience and education welcome</li> </ul> <p><strong>MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS</strong><br>Regardless of qualifications, candidates must:</p> <ul> <li>Have employment eligibility verification</li> <li>Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training</li> <li>Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: <ul> <li>Tuberculosis Test</li> <li>Background Screening</li> <li>Drug Test</li> </ul> </li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><hr> <p><strong>EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY<br></strong>Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa.</p> <p>PATH is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and objectivity in our services and employment practices.
