About the role
<p><span data-contrast="auto">Liquid Personnel is </span>seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Children’s Community OT Service.</p>
<p>This is a highly flexible role offering strong leadership, support, and the opportunity to work within a well-structured Local Authority setting supporting children and young people with disabilities in the community.</p>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">What will your responsibilities be?</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":0,"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Assess children and young people with disabilities within home and community settings</li>
<li>Provide recommendations for specialist equipment and housing adaptations</li>
<li>Complete moving and handling assessments and provide safe solutions</li>
<li>Interpret technical drawings and housing plans for adaptations</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with families, schools, housing, and health professionals</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with relevant children’s legislation and housing legislation</li>
<li>Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning</li>

<li>Fieldwork Educator</li>
<li>Relevant in-service training</li>

<ul>
<li>Understanding of Local Authority structures and responsibilities</li>
<li>Knowledge of eligibility criteria for equipment and adaptations</li>
<li>Ability to interpret technical plans and housing layouts</li>
<li>Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills</li>
<li>Experience completing formal moving & handling assessments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Qualifications & Experience:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"134233117":false,"134233118":false,"335559738":0,"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy</li>
<li>HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience</li>
<li>Experience working within a community setting</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of:
<ul>
<li>Children’s legislation and Local Authority responsibilities</li>
<li>Housing adaptations and specialist equipment</li>
<li>Moving and Handling practices and Health & Safety legislation</li>
</ul>
