Occupational Therapist – Physical Disabilities

The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping individuals live more safely and independently within their homes and communities.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>What will your responsibilities be?</strong></span></p> <ul style="text-align: justify;"> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Carry out comprehensive assessments, including complex cases</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Manage a full caseload independently</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Advise health, social care, and voluntary sector professionals</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Recommend and instruct on safe use of equipment</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Liaise with contractors and agencies for major adaptations</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Advise on re-housing where adaptations are unsuitable</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Maintain accurate records on Carefirst and compile reports</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Supervise OT students and contribute to in-house training</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Stay up to date with legislation and best practice</span></li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Promote equality and contribute to service quality initiatives</span></li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Qualifications &amp;
