About the role
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Manage, procure, and maintain the inventory of key parts and spare parts critical to factory operations. Own and operate SAP systems (SAP S/4HANA or SAP Ariba) for all store-related transactions, including MIGO (Material In – Goods Received) reports and other production-critical reporting. Act as the single point of contact between the engineering team and procurement / supply-chain functions to ensure uninterrupted availability of engineering consumables and spares.
KEY EXPERIENCES & REQUIREMENTS
+ years of hands-on experience in engineering store management, spare-parts inventory control, or procurement operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP Ariba — ability to raise purchase orders, post goods receipts (MIGO), and generate inventory/consumption reports.
• Familiarity with MIGO transactions and material movement documentation in SAP.
• Understanding of inventory management principles: reorder levels, min-max planning, inventory classification, and shelf-life tracking for engineering spares.
• Experience coordinating with vendors/suppliers for timely procurement and delivery of critical spares.
• Ability to liaise effectively between the engineering workshop and central procurement / finance teams.
• Educational background: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering OR a qualification in Supply Chain / Procurement (equivalent experience accepted).
• Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail for maintaining accurate stock records.
• Familiarity with factory ERP workflows and production-support processes is an advantage.
