Ohio Career Technical Education Specialist

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">ACCEL Schools is seeking a qualified individual to join our national team as the Ohio Career Technical Education Specialist. We are seeking professionals who prioritize student learning, employability skills, career readiness, and intervention strategies that support student success. ACCEL Schools uses a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, which can be accessed online and through a variety of traditional methods.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">The <strong>Ohio Career Technical Education Specialist</strong> will support Career Tech Education and Career-Based Intervention programs across ACCEL Schools’ Ohio brick-and-mortar network. This individual will provide guidance and support related to program implementation, compliance, work-based learning, curriculum resources, and student support strategies aligned to Ohio CTE and CBI requirements. The role will work closely with school leaders, teachers, and the National CTE Team to strengthen program quality, expand student opportunities, and ensure sustainable CTE and CBI programming.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Duties Include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support and assist Ohio brick-and-mortar schools with implementation and growth of Career Technical Education Pathways and Career-Based Intervention (CBI) programs.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Collaborate with the National CTE Team, school leaders, counselors, and teachers to support program success and student outcomes.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Provide guidance on Ohio CBI requirements, documentation, and compliance expectations.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist with planning for school transition from Career-Based Intervention (CBI) programs into aligned CTE pathways.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist schools with work-based learning implementation, student placements, tracking, and best practices.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support schools in identifying and utilizing appropriate curriculum resources, intervention supports, and employability skill development activities.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Help schools develop meaningful partnerships with local businesses and community organizations to expand career readiness opportunities for students.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Collaborate with school leaders to identify and implement industry-recognized credentials aligned to student interests, career pathways, and CBI program needs</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support the creation, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of CTE and CBI advisory councils and relationships with school CTPD organizations</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Maintain knowledge of Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), with an emphasis on middle school engagement and implementation opportunities</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Collaboration &amp; Training:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Serve as a support contact for Ohio schools regarding CTE and CBI programming and implementation needs.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Work alongside the National CTE Team to provide training and professional development for CBI teachers and school staff.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support communication and collaboration between schools and the National CTE Team to ensure consistent implementation and support.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist in identifying program needs, challenges, and opportunities for improvement across schools.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support schools with maintaining accurate documentation related to CTE and CBI programming and work-based learning activities.</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt;
