Ideal candidates will have a strong background in oil and gas law, with expertise in providing legal advice and support on a wide range of energy-related matters. This is an existing vacancy.</p> <p></p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters related to oil and gas exploration, production, and transportation, including environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and land use issues.</li> <li>Draft and negotiate a variety of oil and gas agreements, including leases, joint operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, processing agreements and pipeline contracts.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state and local government laws and regulations.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p></p> <h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Active bar license in at least one US State preferably Texas.</li> <li>Experience with energy-related data center transactions, including acquisitions, leases, and commercial contracts such as power purchase agreements, power supply arrangements, and utility agreements.</li> <li>Minimum of 8+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on oil and gas law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department setting.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws and regulations governing the oil and gas industry, including the Mineral Leasing Act, Clean Air Act, and Natural Gas Act.</li> <li>Experience with EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) agreements&nbsp;</li> <li>FERC regulatory experience&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p></p> <h3><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience advising clients on upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas transactions and projects.</li> <li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.</li> <li>Experience with energy commodities with an emphasis on pipelines and terminals, and experience counselling on energy compliance matters.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p data-ccp-props="{&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559683&quot;:0,&quot;335559685&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:0,&quot;335559737&quot;:0,&quot;335562764&quot;:2,&quot;335562765&quot;:1,&quot;335562766&quot;:4,&quot;335562767&quot;:0,&quot;335562768&quot;:4,&quot;335562769&quot;:18}"></p> <h3><strong>Compensation:</strong></h3> <p>The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.&nbsp; Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.</p> <h3><strong>About Axiom:</strong></h3> <p>For over 25 years, Axiom has pioneered the alternative legal services industry, now serving more than 1,500 legal departments globally with our unique blend of world-class legal talent and advanced AI tools, delivering innovative solutions ranging from that combine top-tier talent with cutting-edge technology.
