Why This Role

This role focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes through deep expertise in operational risk management, safety, and coaching within complex operational environments.
You will play a key role in leading coaching interventions across distributed teams, supporting leaders and driving meaningful behavioural and operational change.

Your Impact at dss+

You will lead specialist coaching and delivery workstreams within a complex, multi-site client environment. A critical part of this role is developing a deep understanding of the client’s operations prior to delivery and contributing to early programme design and onboarding.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver coaching programmes to managers operating across multiple locations and remote team structures

• Build a strong understanding of the client’s operational environment prior to programme delivery

• Contribute to programme design, onboarding, and early-stage planning activities

• Facilitate coaching sessions, workshops, and leadership interventions to drive behavioural and operational change

• Apply expertise in safety, operational risk, or operational performance to support client outcomes

• Engage effectively with stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams

• Support the embedding of sustainable practices and leadership capability

Who You Are

You bring strong analytical thinking, a curious mindset, and the ability to work effectively in diverse, international environments. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders, solving complex problems, and contributing to meaningful outcomes.

You bring a strong background in safety and operational risk management, with experience coaching leaders and operators within hazardous, asset-intensive environments. You are either an established freelancer or planning to move into freelance consulting in the near term.

Experience

• Significant experience in operational risk management, safety, or operational excellence

• Proven experience coaching leaders in complex, distributed environments

• Experience within rail, ports, bulk commodity logistics, or mining environments

Capabilities

• Strong coaching and facilitation skills

• Ability to quickly understand complex operational environments

• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability

Languages

• Fluency in Norwegian (mandatory requirement)

• Strong English communication skills

Mobility

• Willingness to travel across Norway as required
