Transformations Community is a global network of researchers, practitioners, and changemakers focused on sustainability and broader social-ecological transformation. Through gatherings, collaborative initiatives, and communities of practice, it connects inquiry with action and brings people together to explore how transformation happens in practice across different contexts.
As Operations and Integration Lead, you will help create the coordination, follow-through, and operational clarity that allow the community's work to move effectively across initiatives, people, and priorities. This role is well suited to someone who can bring structure without adding unnecessary complexity, support senior leaders thoughtfully, and strengthen collaboration across a distributed, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Support founders or executive directors with coordination, follow-through, and operational execution.
- Use lightweight coordination approaches to track progress, maintain momentum, and support day-to-day operations.
- Prepare written decision support materials, handoffs, and status updates.
- Work across distributed teams to keep priorities aligned and moving forward.
- Use AI tools for task extraction, workflow support, and document retrieval.
Requirements
- Experience supporting founders or executive directors in mission-driven organizations, including direct work with senior leaders.
- At least 4 years of experience working in smaller organizations with limited structure and oversight.
- Experience using a CRM or workflow management tool, along with proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Ability to use AI tools for task extraction, workflow support, and document retrieval, with comfort experimenting with and learning new AI tools.
- Experience working in research or sustainability contexts and collaborating across distributed teams.
- Experience using lightweight coordination approaches for follow-through and operational tracking.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing decision support materials, handoffs, and status updates.
- Proficiency with Slack is a plus.
- Availability to work in North America or Europe-friendly time zones is preferred.
