About the role
- Prepare and submit insurance credentialing and re-credentialing applications
- Track application status, follow up with payers, and resolve data discrepancies
- Maintain an up-to-date credentialing database and alert the team about upcoming expirations
- Receive, verify, and process patient referrals into the EMR or CRM system
- Monitor referral statuses, follow up on outstanding cases, and escalate as needed
- Execute tasks according to SOPs and suggest improvements when appropriate
- Perform routine data audits to maintain accuracy and compliance
- Provide regular status updates and reports to leadership
- Communicate via email or (rarely) phone with providers, payers, and patients as needed
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow SOPs and checklist-based workflows
- Availability to work U.S. Central Time hours with reliable high-speed internet
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable using spreadsheets and Adobe PDF
- All credentialing packets submitted on or before their deadlines
- New patient referrals processed within 24 hours
- Accurate records maintained with minimal data-entry errors
- Meaningful suggestions made to improve existing SOPs
- Full-time remote role
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM Central Time
