Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor fuel inventory levels, stock, and deliveries to avoid shortages and maintain optimal stock.
• Ensure fuel dispensing equipment and other facilities are maintained and in excellent working order.
• Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations across all assigned stations.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on station performance, including financials, inventory, and customer feedback.
• Ensure all stations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Enforce safe handling of petroleum products, ensuring all staff follow safety protocols.
• Work with government and regulatory bodies for compliance, licensing, and certifications.
• Prepare and manage the budget for each station.
• Ensure that cash handling procedures are adhered to and that revenue targets are met or exceeded
• Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear objectives.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high performance.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to guide decision-making and improve profitability.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in retail or petroleum station management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to petroleum products.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management and reporting tools.
