Senior Operations Specialist

<p>Flow Traders is looking for a new Senior Operations Specialist to join our Operations department. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading proprietary trading firm with an entrepreneurial and innovative culture at the heart of its business.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>You will join the Flow Traders EMEA Operations team based in our Amsterdam office. We have an expanding product universe, covering all major asset classes. Our team covers a multitude of areas and follows the full trade lifecycle. As such, the opportunities to learn and grow are limitless within the organization.</p> <p>For this role, we are looking for candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience in Operations, Middle Office, or a related field, combined with good analytical and programing skills, as well as a a strong desire to continue learning and developing within this space. If you are interested in the role and believe your experience aligns, we encourage you to apply and include a short explanation of your motivation to join Flow Traders.</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Reconcile trades and positions intraday and next day, across multiple asset classes</li> <li>Calculate daily P&amp;L and cash - own the numbers, find the breaks, explain them</li> <li>Know the full trade lifecycle cold: execution, settlement, fees, interest bookings</li> <li>Dig into large datasets to find what's wrong and fix how the process works</li> <li>Work directly with Prime Brokers, trading desks, risk, compliance, and finance</li> <li>Automate the manual stuff - write the script, don't just flag the problem</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you need</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years in trading operations, middle office, or financial services</li> <li>A degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or something similarly quantitative</li> <li>Python and SQL are hard requirements - you write code, not just read it</li> <li>Sharp attention to detail and a genuine appetite for getting into the weeds</li> <li>Prior exposure to trading, front office, or technology teams is a plus</li> <li>Comfortable handling large, messy datasets and knowing when the numbers don't add up</li> <li>You reach for a script before you reach for a spreadsheet</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Flow Traders does not accept unsolicited resumes from any professional staffing or search firms.
