This position will include some after-hours activities such as events and occasional overnight travel. Day-to-day responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Living Out Lumbermen’s Culture</strong> – Leading in and modeling Lumbermen’s core values while creating an atmosphere where Lumbermen’s is ‘first choice’ of our customers.</li> <li><strong>Subject Matter Expert </strong>– Obtaining and growing a personal knowledge of our full portfolio of building materials products.</li> <li><strong>Building and Fostering Relationships</strong> – Establishing and developing strong relationships with customers through regular in-person visits, training, events, and remote support.</li> <li><strong>Drive Sales </strong>– Actively selling from our products lines.</li> <li><strong>Strategic Partner –&nbsp;</strong>Providing exceptional service and support to anticipate and deliver on customer needs and provide timely problem resolution.</li> <li><strong>Analysis</strong> – Performing analysis of competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to gain an understanding of why customers purchase from our competitors.</li> <li><strong>Teamwork&nbsp;</strong>– Achieving results and working together on a high performing team.</li> <li><strong>Partnerships –</strong> Working with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial goals and cultivate great relationships.</li> </ul> <p>Base rate of pay range: $65,000 to $75,000. This position will also include a commission package. The base rate of pay plus commission will total between $90,000 to $130,000.</p> <p><strong>WHO WE NEED:</strong></p> <p>An employee owner who embraces, models, and promotes Lumbermen’s Mission, Vision, and Promise and has:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills</li> <li>The ability to market, sell, and educate customers.</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>The ability to provide persuasive presentations to target customer needs and successfully overcome obstacles and challenges.</li> <li>An inquisitive nature with strong active listening and analytical skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Qualifications/Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field</li> <li>Two to four years industry-specific outside sales experience in lieu of education requirement.</li> <li>Building materials industry experience strongly desired.</li> <li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li> </ul> <p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 30-40 pounds.</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER:</strong></p> <p>Lumbermen’s exists to enrich the lives of people by intentionally caring for all who experience us.&nbsp; You will experience a different kind of work environment and “family” here and help live out the Lumbermen’s promises of <em>committing to those who count on us</em>, <em>doing what’s right</em>, <em>exercising sound business practices</em> and <em>earning consideration</em>.
