<p><strong>Overnight Licensed Veterinary Tech - On Call</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary:</strong> $40- $44 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.</p> <p><strong>Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>On-call overnight coverage on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If called in, Friday: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM, Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM, and Sunday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Shifts are on-call, and you will be contacted if coverage is needed during these times. Because we know your pets are family, too.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.</li> <li>Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.</li> <li>Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates</li> <li>Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.</li> <li>Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.</li> <li>Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.</li> <li>Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York State is required.</li> <li>Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.</li> <li>Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.</li> <li>Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Pure Paws Veterinary Care — Hell’s Kitchen</strong></p> <p>Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell’s Kitchen is a full-service, Fear-Free Certified, Cat-Friendly Practice® located in the heart of Manhattan.
