<p>As a <strong>Packaging Engineer</strong>, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions that ensure product protection, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. You will own the end-to-end packaging development process, collaborating with product design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to meet functional, regulatory, and environmental requirements. This role is critical to driving packaging strategies that align with business goals, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support overall product success.</p>
<h3><strong>You Will: </strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Design, validate, and implement scalable packaging systems for global automotive programs.</li>
<li>Lead cross-functional packaging initiatives across engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and suppliers.</li>
<li>Drive standardization and continuous improvement of packaging processes and materials.</li>
<li>Oversee packaging specifications, documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.</li>
<li>Utilize PackAssistant or equivalent software to simulate and optimize packaging density and logistics efficiency.</li>
<li>Benchmark industry best practices and integrate innovative packaging technologies.</li>
<li>Support new product launches and engineering changes with robust packaging strategies.</li>
<li>Develop and manage packaging budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.</li>
<li>Ensure packaging solutions meet regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to source cost-effective and sustainable materials.</li>
<li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging-related issues in production or logistics.</li>
<li>Train and mentor packaging engineers and support staff.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>You Bring</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Computer, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering and 5 years of professional experience.</li>
<li>4–7 years of hands-on experience in packaging design and implementation.</li>
<li>1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role within packaging/logistics.</li>
<li>Experience in automotive logistics operations or similar environments.</li>
<li>Proficiency in PackAssistant or equivalent packaging simulation software.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of returnable/expendable packaging systems, materials, and testing standards (ASTM, ISTA).</li>
<li>Familiarity with 3D modeling CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>
<li>Strong engineering and analytical skills with attention to detail.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and communication abilities.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Knowledge of sustainability practices and circular economy principles in packaging.</li>
<li>Strategic thinking with the ability to align packaging initiatives with broader business goals.</li>
<li>Effective problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.</li>
