Paint Assistant

<p></p> <div> <p>Join our team and help keep production running smoothly! As a Paint Assistant on our Powder Coat Paint Line, you’ll play a key role in preparing, painting, and finishing parts to ensure a high-quality final product.</p> <hr> <h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Prepare parts for painting (plug holes, tape, mask surfaces)</li> <li>Hang parts using proper hooks and spacing for optimal coating</li> <li>Inspect finished parts for quality (runs, sags, missed areas)</li> <li>Remove parts from the line and stack safely to prevent damage</li> <li>Clean and maintain paint line equipment and tools</li> <li>Record wastewater discharge and pH readings as needed</li> <li>Safely operate equipment such as hoists, forklifts, or power buggies (as assigned)</li> <li>Handle machinery and materials with care and attention to detail</li> <li>Support the team with additional duties as assigned</li> <li>Maintain regular, reliable attendance</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h3> <ul> <li>No prior experience required — we’ll train you!</li> <li>High School diploma or GED preferred</li> <li>Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions and safety guidelines</li> <li>Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; understand ratios and measurements)</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Comfortable using hand tools and air-powered tools</li> <li>Ability to operate or learn to operate a hoist and material handling equipment</li> <li>Team player with good communication skills</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per shift</li> <li>Frequent use of hands for handling, gripping, and reaching</li> <li>Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching</li> <li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly</li> <li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment</li> <li>Ability to work around noise, chemicals, and manufacturing equipment<br><em>(hearing protection required)</em></li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Work Environment</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Exposure to industrial materials such as paint, cleaners, fuels, and hydraulic fluids</li> <li>Loud environment with required safety equipment</li> <li>Repetitive lifting overhead</li> <li>Safety-focused culture with proper training and PPE provided</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pay wage: $19/hour</li> <li>Shift: Day Shift (5am-3:30pm)&nbsp;</li> <li>9 paid Holidays</li> <li>Generous Paid Time Off - Accrues at a rate of 4 weeks per year to start</li> <li>Paid Volunteer Time Off</li> <li>Paid Parental Leave</li> <li>Excellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employees that starts the 1<em>st</em>&nbsp;of the month after 30 days of hire date including:</li> <ul> <li>Medical,&nbsp;Dental,&nbsp;Vision, Life Insurance, Disability,&nbsp;Flex Spending, Accidental Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Hospital Indemnity Insurance &amp; Legal Insurance</li> </ul> <li>Retirement Planning - 401(k) plan including Discretionary Company Match</li> <li>Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 a year</li> <li>Employee Referral Program</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 8pt;"><em><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Multiquip provides competitive pay and benefits and supports our employees through our values of safety, integrity and respect.</span></em></span><br><span style="font-size: 8pt;"><em><span style="font-family: verdana, geneva; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Employment is subject to pre-employment physical, drug-screening and background investigation.
