As coordinator of the agency's Creative Services team, this position supervises a medium-sized staff and serves as project manager for the planning, design, and production of a wide range of creative materials, including digital, print, environmental, and other communication assets for the organization. The role provides technical guidance and support to all divisions and sections across the agency. Creative projects emphasize strategic communication and audience experience, combining strong messaging with effective design and consistent brand standards in an accessible, efficient, and cost effective manner. The position also prepares recommendations for agency-wide design standards and improvements to project workflows.
The coordinator manages multiple projects of varying size and complexity. Responsibilities include overseeing all phases of creative development-from research and content creation to design, production, and final delivery. Duties include composing and editing copy; reviewing and ensuring ADA accessibility, accuracy, design integrity, and effectiveness of communication; proofreading; and coordinating team assignments. The position schedules and facilitates planning meetings; prepares written and visual planning materials; and conducts presentations for internal clients and leadership. Additional responsibilities include writing production specifications, obtaining quotes or bids, preparing cost estimates and budgets, and ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget in accordance with procurement laws and policies. The role also manages printing needs to ensure quality and cost efficiency, tracks project progress, and maintains records on vendors, inventory, and project status for routine reporting to Administration.
Knowledge of design, planning, budgeting, time management, and supervisory principles is required, along with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. The position provides daily supervision to team members, including scheduling, hiring, and performance documentation, and also serves as the site Safety Officer. Other duties may be assigned.
