Patient Care- FEMALES ONLY

Job Summary:

The Patient Care agent is responsible for clearing patients based on a standard and defined process to ensure the patient can safely undergo surgery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assists patients in evaluating them for their appropriate surgical procedure(s)

· Reviews patient’s medical and health history to determine pre-admission testing

· Schedules appropriate medical and cardiac clearances

· Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and tests

· Coordinates with clinical staff to gather information for all patients

· Codes information from physicians about procedures performed

· Assesses no further testing or additional clearances are needed

· Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Internal and external customer service orientation

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

· High School Degree minimum

· Basic knowledge of medical terminology
