The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys collaborating across multiple sites to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient experiences.</span></span><span class="EOP SCXW40744105 BCX0" data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></span></span></p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Front Office &amp; Administrative Duties:</strong> <ul> <li>Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.</li> <li>Manage check-in and check-out processes, verify insurance, and collect co-pays.</li> <li>Schedule patient appointments, testing, and follow-ups in collaboration with providers.</li> <li>Submit and track prior authorizations, including verifying insurance and submitting required documentation.</li> <li>Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries with courtesy and accuracy.</li> <li>Maintain up-to-date, HIPAA-compliant records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.</li> <li>Ensure the front office area remains clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary forms and supplies.</li> <li>Assist with emergency response protocols by alerting clinical staff as needed.</li> <li>Contribute to the onboarding and training of new team members to build support and cross-functional skills.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Clinical &amp; Patient Care Duties (if MA certified):</strong> <ul> <li>Perform diagnostic procedures such as allergy skin testing, pulmonary function tests (PFTs), and FeNO testing.</li> <li>Administer allergy and immunotherapy injections following clinical safety protocols.</li> <li>Prepare and maintain allergy serum and oral desensitization vials.</li> <li>Monitor and document patient vitals and treatment responses.</li> <li>Support physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical consultations and procedures.</li> <li>Educate patients and families on allergy and asthma care plans and treatment options.</li> <li>Respond to and manage allergic reactions, including emergency interventions when needed.</li> <li>Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for provider exams.</li> <li>Assist in preparing asthma action plans, Epinephrine training, and discharge instructions.</li> <li>Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms; log refrigerator temperatures and sterilize instruments per protocols.</li> <li>Assist with clinical prior authorizations under the direction of a supervisor.</li> <li>Additional responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp;High school diploma or equivalent required.</li> <li><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>3+ years of experience in a front desk, medical receptionist, or Medical Assistant (MA) role.</li> <li>Experience with insurance verification, scheduling, and electronic health records preferred.</li> <li><strong>Licensure &amp; Certifications:&nbsp;</strong> <ul> <li>Certified or Licensed Medical Assistant (California), if performing clinical duties.</li> <li>CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and multitasking ability in a clinical setting.</li> <li>Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards.</li> <li>Ability to remain composed in fast-paced and emergency situations.</li> <li>Commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality service delivery.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Prior experience in allergy, immunology, or respiratory care settings.</li> <li>Comfort with performing skin testing and pulmonary diagnostics.</li> <li>Experience submitting and managing insurance prior authorizations.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3>Compensation</h3> <p><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW33720489 BCX8">The hourly range for this position is $27.00-32.00/hour. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation.
