Payment Posting Specialist

We are a mobile surgical physician wound care group expanding into new markets of the United States. T<span class="rnc2Gd" data-ast-node-id="5">he Payment Posting Specilaist is critical to maintaining the financial accuracy and efficiency of our billing operations.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong><span class="rnc2Gd" data-ast-node-id="5">Position is hybrid at our office in Playa Vista, CA</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Key Responsibilities:<br></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Accurately post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and denials using EOBs and ERAs</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Reconcile daily payment batches and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Communicate with insurance carriers regarding payment variances and underpayments</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support the accounts receivable team to reduce outstanding balances</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Maintaining compliance with billing regulations and payer-specific guidelines</span></p> </li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br>Ideal Candidate Qualifications:<br></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Prior experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Familiarity with practice management and billing software</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10, and EOB/ERA processing</span></p> </li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment</span></p> </li> <li><strong>High School diploma or equivalent is required.</strong></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Pay:</strong></p> <ul> <li>$21-23/hr Depending on experience</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision Insurance</li> <li>Generous 401 K plan</li> <li>Paid time off</li> <li>Life Insurance</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;<strong>Great Place to Work® Certified!</strong></p> <p><strong>Skilled Wound Care</strong>&nbsp;is proud to be Certified™ by<strong>&nbsp;Great Place to Work®</strong> for the <strong>7rd</strong>&nbsp;year in a row.
